-Departure from the hotel in the early morning heading to Luxor. Travelling by road, your adventure starts at the region of the dead which lies towards the setting sun in the baking desert west of the Nile.

The Colossi of Memnon are the first monuments that you shall see when visiting West Bank. They stand on grace land between the Nile and the rugged desert hills, Over three thousand years old, they once served as guardians of the Temple of Amenophis III. The temple has long disappeared, leaving only these seated giants, twenty meters high, both of which represent the Pharaoh himself.

The desolate Valley of the Kings was thought to be near the realm of the Gods and deemed an ideal burial ground. Over 60 graves have been discovered there of which very few are open to the public. Continue to visit the temple of the formidable Queen Hatshepsut. It stands at the foot of a sheer 100-meter-high cliff on a succession of terraces supported by pillars. The temple has been carefully restored and the interior is extremely attractive. After the visit, check in at your 4 stars hotel in Luxor.

After breakfast, visit the Luxor Temple. Guarding the gateway of the temple are two Colossi depicting Pharaoh Rameses II, each 15 meters high. Inside the temple, you shall be confronted with a forest of pillars, which, like the walls, are adorned with hieroglyphs relating the story of God Amon and the deeds of the pharaohs. Running between the temples of Luxor and Karnak is an avenue three kilometers long lined with ram-headed sphinxes.

Karnak Temple was sacred to the memory of the God Amon. It is the most grandiose and overwhelming of all Egyptian temples. The most amazing part of the temple is the hypostyle, an immense hall where 142 gigantic stone columns in 16 rows support a stone roof. The hypostyle covers the same area as Cologne Cathedral and was regarded as one of the wonders of the ancient world. Departure by bus to Hurghada.
